The IBNMarsh Workshop on Energy Risk And Insurance Managment was held on Friday, 11th March, 2011 at Golden Gate Restaurant, Ikoyi, Lagos Nigeria. |

The welcome address was delivered by Chief Prosper C. Okpue (Executive
Vice Chairman/CEO
Insurance Brokers of Nigeria Limited), where he reiterated that Insurance Brokers of Nigeria (IBN) has remained in the forefront of the development of professional insurance broking and risk management practice since its establishment in Nigeria. He also emphasized the dominant role played by Oil & Gas in the economic and socio-political horizons of the world. With salient dates, he gave a brief history of IBN-Marsh and IBN subsidiaries which are Industrial Risks Protection Consultants (IRPC) and Resources Benefit Associations (RBA). |

In conclusion, he expressed his deep appreciation to a colleague Joss Raven of Marsh Energy Practice London for finding time visit our city of Lagos and accepting to present his paper on insurance protection and features of the global energy market; Engr. Jacob Adeosun took his time to discuss the risk assessment and loss control options, his entire colleagues in IBN Energy Practice for organizing the workshop; and most important all the guests for finding time to share knowledge with us.
